An informal and relaxing space, our Pier Eight Bar is a great place to meet friends for a catch up, bring the kids and enjoy a refreshing drink.
Situated next to our Pier Eight Restaurant, much of our bar overlooks the Quays. Our lounge space provides cosy seating perfect for lazy afternoons, yet is also frequently transformed into a stunning social space for events, press nights, and more.
Our new daytime food menu is available every day until 4pm. It’s perfect for a coffee and a catch-up with friends, family or colleagues after a trip to our Galleries. Our selection of lighter bites and more substantial dishes, along with a delicious array of cakes and sweet treats are perfect to enjoy whilst taking in the stunning quayside views.
Locally sourced
As well as being a great hub to meet with friends and family, Pier Eight Bar is also the perfect place to grab a drink before seeing a show. We offer a range of local products, including Sis4ers gin, Seven Bro7hers craft beer and Salford Spiced Rum. In addition to this, our range of artisan snacks contains locally sourced and great quality products
Interval drinks
We know that standing in a queue during the break in a performance is not ideal, which is why for most shows which have an interval we offer all our customers the chance to pre-order drinks and snacks. We offer this at our Pier Eight bar, but also at our Circle and Quays bars too, which are open for busy performances in the Lyric and Quays theatres respectively. All you have to do is ask the staff at any of our three bars and they’ll happily tell you more.

Sustainability
Please be aware that in an effort to increase sustainability, as well as being theatre-friendly, thirty minutes before a performance and in any intervals we provide all drinks in our very own reusable plastic cups. When you visit, please help us help the environment by returning your used plastic cup to any of our bars.
